For the very first time, Loma Prieta picked about ten tons of Pinotage at around 19 brix from the Amorosa vineyard in Lodi where they’ve been sourcing grapes for 7 years. These, however, are going to be made into sparkling wine! The juicy grapes were brought in on August 7 to a custom facility in Geyserville, where they will be magically turned into sparkling wine, which should be ready to disgorge about a year or so from now. That should be some downright exciting stuff to drink!
