A special blend of 80% 2013 Pinotage (Karma Vineyard) and 20% 2013 Petite Sirah (Amorosa Vineyard). A satisfying marriage of Pinotage and Petite Sirah, this wine greets you with aromas of smoky Damson plums, dark licorice, gunpowder, flint and dark chocolate truffles. Smooth of body and amply-textured, it reveals flavors of plum tart, coffee-laced toffee, salted ganache, savory toasted walnuts, grilled poblano peppers, cigar and pipe tobacco. The long finish is well-endowed with moderately toothy tannins that feel like corduroy. Pair this with a meatloaf of lamb and veal with browned pine nuts and golden raisins, topped with a chipotle catsup, or a turkey mole poblano. Regular Price: $50 per 750ml bottle |
